Apple TV has scheduled the premiere of Season 4 of its hit series Ted Lasso for Aug. 5. According to TIME, the upcoming season sees Jason Sudeikis return to the role of Ted Lasso, transitioning from his work with the men's AFC Richmond squad to lead the organization’s newly established women’s team, the Lady Greyhounds. The narrative picks up three years after the events of Season 3, placing the protagonist back in his home state of Kansas before his former colleagues—played by Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Swift—travel to the United States to recruit him for the London-based project.

While the original ensemble cast remains largely intact, there are notable exceptions, including Nick Mohammed and Phil Dunster. Brett Goldstein assumes the role of men’s coach, while Brendan Hunt continues as assistant coach. The new season will span a total of 10 episodes, four of which have been made available for early review.
